Got plans for the holidays?
Looking for a special present? How about a book?
Mysterious Castle is a popular one with readers.
Publishers keep trying to get me to turn Magnetic Attraction over to them.
What kind of books do you enjoy?
* Adult crime fiction? Try Widow's Web and Corporate Snare.
* Historical Romances? Try Turnabout in Fair Play (set in Texas), Dreams & Secrets (set in California), and Magnetic Attraction (set in Colorado and Pennsylvania).
* Historical fantasy (with time travel)? Mysterious Castle.
Available in paperback by order through booksellers everywhere, such as Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Booksamillion, etc.

Corporate Snare: A Jim Cavanaugh Saga
Now available as print-on-demand paperback and as ebooks...everywhere! This is book #6. Honestly, it may take a couple of days to show up as available to the public, especially this being a weekend.
By the way, my husband and I went through every version of each book looking for misprints and typos in order to clean each one up...again. It's done and there should be no more hauntings by deleted mistakes. It was irritating to still find some. I clearly remember fixing many of them before. Computers simply aren't as good as they used to be! But I've recently learned a few tricks to avoid the mystical returning-typos dilemma. Number 1 rule, never save the manuscript to the hard drive! If it's not there, it can't mix up the new and the old. (Supposedly that isn't possible, but in reality it happens all the time! And no, it isn't user error.)

Where did the summer go?
Here it is a month into autumn. My, how time flies! I've been busy, no doubt, but as yet not much to show for it. Making plans and working forward, with nothing to show y'all yet.
Aiming high, pushing negativity aside, hoping for positive changes. I'd been so organized, laid out plans, and lined up support as needed...but "the best laid plans of mice and men often go asunder." (Did I get that quote right?) Mine went asunder. I have a backup plan, but it needs recharging. Hopefully very soon things will take off like a rocket. Wish me luck!
In the meantime, I'd like your feedback. If this site limits your access, please feel free to email me at duannalee@ymail.com with your comments or suggestions. Please keep in mind that I am not seeking solicitors of any kind, whether agents or merchandizers, and no spamming. I truly would like to know what you think, what you like or dislike regarding my novels and websites/blogs. If you want to and are able to, online participation is encouraged. Talk to me. Talk with me.
You can visit me on Facebook (DuannaLee Post) or on my special Facebook page Books by DuannaLee Petersen. I'd like to hear from you. (No spamming!)

Published on Amazon.com as an Ebook on June 8, 2016.This is a 3-stage process. First as an Ebook on Amazon, then as a paperback on Amazon, and lastly as an Ebook via Smashwords for nearly all other ebook venues.
I notice Amazon now includes distribution for iPad and iPhone with their Kindle Ebooks. I use a free Kindle reader on my PC. It works great!

News Flash
I've been a bit distracted. I got engaged AND got married this fall. No kidding. And I moved north from Texas to South Dakota. It's been snowing here off and on ever since I arrived. Beautiful.

Corporate Snare: A Jim Cavanaugh Saga -- coming soon
The sequel to Widow's Web has been completed. Now the final editing begins with the focus on will Corporate Snare be as good a standalone as Widow's Web? It needs to be equal, not lesser.
I have a cover picture in mind, but it's yet to be done. Soon. I'm not rushing this, plus I have a lot on my calendar. Good things.

ALL 5 NOVELS ARE AVAILABLE JUST ABOUT ANYWHERE
No, you can't drop into a bookstore and pick up a hardbound copy anywhere. I'm sorry but that isn't an option.
Although, you can order a paperback version instead. It would be available in a few days. It simply depends on how quickly the bookstore orders it for you. Or you can order it on Amazon and have them shipped directly to your home or office or to a friend or relative. To find them in Amazon's search field, just put in the author's name to pull up the author page for ebooks and paperbacks:
DuannaLee Petersen-Griffin
for my author page or, without going through Amazon.com that way, enter on your search engine's IP bar:
http://www.amazon.com/DuannaLee-Petersen-Griffin/e/B00O57LS64
As ebooks, the novels are available just about everywhere. Whatever reader you use, they should be available your way.
No money? There's another alternative. Read for free. Yes, ask your public library to obtain the ebook. I already have a couple in libraries, and they were just made available. I was amazed at not only how fast they were purchased, but also how fast people started "borrowing" them to read. Literally within an hour or so.
Keep in mind that dozens of books are published every hour, so it is easy to get lost in the mix. Searching by my name is the easiest and quickest way to find them.
Happy reading! If you read my books, please rate them. It helps others in selecting books. I expect honest ratings. I also know that people are individuals with their own likes and dislikes. "You can't please everyone" is a true statement. Don't worry about my feelings.

3 MORE TO GO
Say what? 3 more what? Books, of course!
I have 5 novels. There are 3 steps for each novel: Amazon ebook; other ebook; paperback (as print on demand). I've opted out of hardcover standard printing.
All 5 novels have been published as paperbacks. These are NOT available on bookshelves, but print-on-demand via various outlets.
All 5 are available as ebooks on Amazon.com.
So far 2 are available as ebooks on numerous other outlets (and via libraries by request) and I'm working on getting the last 3 ready to go.
Meanwhile, I'm working on novel number 6, a sequel to number 5.
I also have a novella (Hearts Crossing) that needs a second look before I publish it. It is based on my paternal ancestors which in and of itself complicates things. Specific details not being available, it is not a true biography, and the characters are thrown into a location and relationship that never happened in true life, as far as I know. (It would be so fun if it really had happened that way.) Being torn between facts and fiction, I'm leaning toward writing a preface. I wouldn't want someone to assume that it's from an autobiography. There simply isn't a detailed one available! (Each family prepared a very brief sketch of their lives, which I used as a guide.)

PAPERBACK VS. EBOOK SALES
Sales of my ebooks show up immediately on my reports, but the paperback sales don't. Oh, they're upfront with that issue, that there is a delay of a couple of days to a month or so. I'm finding this to be true...and frustrating. I still have a problem with impatience. Waiting is so difficult. (I want to know faster!) The scales are balancing. Will that stay the trend?

SPOILER for Magnetic Attraction
Some folks are a bit put off by the kissing in the first chapter. There is a reason for it. Here's a preface just for those of you who can't get past that.
When Vickie Johnson has a son, Jon Jr., she and her best friend, Jenny, make a promise that if Jenny has a daughter their children will marry and bind them together as sisters through their offspring. Soon after, Jenny marries and has a daughter. Vickie and Jenny recommit with a pact for their children, which will give them a blood tie as grandparents. They are delighted when little Jonny first saw tiny baby Elizabeth and kissed her cheek. The mothers beem with joy, hoping their dream would flourish into reality. As the children grow, Jonny kisses the little girl and grins when his mother smiles and whispers to her friend approvingly.
As the little girl gets bigger, she toddles to Jonny for a hug and he kisses her cheek, so her father calls Jonny "Kissy Boy". The tots are rewarded with smiles and clapping. Jonny and Elizabeth are inseparable whenever the families are together, which is quite often. Vickie has a daughter who is a few months younger than Elizabeth, so they play together often, with Jonny frequently kissing his little girlfriend's cheek. He hugs his sister, but his kisses are for Elizabeth.
Spoiler: Jack is Jon Jr. (Jonny).
Magnetic Attraction is now available for Barnes & Noble, Apple products, and numerous other outlets and readers.
